Santa Ana Retablo – Grandmothers and Mother Child Relationships

About this piece

Santa Ana Retablo Patroness of Grandmothers, Mother-Child Relationships and Housewives

Santa Ana was the Virgin Mary's mother. She had great faith in her daughter Mary. She believed in Mary's immaculate conception supporting her throughout her pregnancy and life. In Brittany it is believed she appeared in a ship of light sailed by angels.

"Santa Ana, you were favored by God to be the grandmother of Jesus. Your care and love of Mary must have been great. Guide me in my relationship with my relationship with my children and grandchildren. May the deep and profound love I feel for them overcome and heal mistakes I have made with them."
